Description

Foundations is designed to help you navigate the essentials of voice-over and introduce you to the three main areas of voice-over: commercials, animation and narration. Discover where your strengths and interests lie and receive support from our instructors in setting up the next steps for your career.

If you are completely new to the world of voice-over, Foundations is the perfect class to get you familiarized with the industry and confident about your potential as a voice-actor.

WHY THIS CLASS?

  • Work in a professional studio, with industry-standard equipment

  • Become familiar with mic technique, studio etiquette and industry terminology

  • Explore your vocal range, in terms of characters and age

  • Achieve clarity, diction, and pronunciation of speech

  • Learn how to break down a voice-over script

  • Receive direction on your reads and apply it to the next take.

  • Discuss basic business elements such as voice over agents and demos.

  • Receive all of your recorded work on an mp3 at the end of the 4-week session

[Foundations of Voice-over] does not require approval by the registrar of the Private Training Institutions Branch (PTIB). As such. The registrar did not review this program.

Prerequisites

This is an entry level friendly class.
