Online – Acting for Voice-over

Acting is one of the most important skills you can have when performing in voice-over. Without the ability to act you can’t tell a story, apply emotion to a scene or connect with other actors.  This class is perfect for you if you are interested in improving your emotional availability and building confidence in your acting skills for voice-over performance.

This class is capped at 8 students and will be delivered using our online web conferencing system. Just like in our in studio classes, students will prepare a copy for performance in front of the class and be given rounds of feedback and redirection. Students are expected to have a webcam and basic microphone so performance can be directed by the instructor.

WHY THIS CLASS?

• Perform scenes and monologues from current movies, TV shows, and plays

• Through performance get feedback and work on deepening emotional availability

• Utilizing learned insights work on animation, narration, or commercial voice-over copy

• Learn how to break down a script and the importance of script analysis

• Discuss basic acting elements such as blocking, voice and physicality

• Learn the parallels of acting for stage/TV/film and voice-over
