Commercial Practice 2 is about refining your commercial reads to a competitive level. Whether you're preparing for a commercial demo record or you're a working voice-over professional in need of some redirection, this class is about getting you to a place where you have a full range of styles you can access at a moments notice.
"As the demand from your clients to do voice-over increases, the question is whether they are prepared for the market of commercial voice-over. Being able to deliver connected, authentic reads appropriate to the script and to industry expectation requires skill and practice. If you have any clients that need training in commercial voice-over in order to be competitive, Noel can guide them to bookable reads, helping them relate and connect to their audience. "
This class is capped at 8 students and will be delivered using our online web conferencing system. Just like in our in studio classes, students will prepare a copy for performance in front of the class and be given rounds of feedback and redirection. Students are expected to have a webcam and basic microphone so performance can be directed by the instructor.
WHY THIS CLASS?
Work on accessing your authentic self in all of your reads
Practice coming up with at least two distinct reads on each piece of copy that still follows the direction given
Hone in on your personal brand and work with appropriate copy that falls within your market and vocal range
Continue developing what you learned in Commercial Process 1
Expand your vocal and emotional range with all of your reads
Develop your ability to self asses, measure and self direct
Develop a faster method of processing direction
Prepare for your demo
