Dubbing or ADR is the replacement of an on-screen actor’s voice with a different performer. The main difference between them is dubbing has the replacement performer speaking a different language. Dubbing is most common in Japanese anime.

Experience the technical art of dubbing/anime'. Amongst learning the genre and how it differs from animation, students will have a chance to experience the technical aspect of timing to picture using the industry standard 'beeps' as well as the character creation process for the genre of anime.

You will be training with an experienced voice actor who has experienced hundreds of hours of in studio A.D.R experience. In this class you'll learn the basics of dubbing for anime and other foreign media. You will feel like you're in an actual session and lean through an efficient and encouraging approach will help you make good choices for auditions and bookings.

This class is capped at 8 students and will be delivered using our online web conferencing system. Just like in our in studio classes, students will prepare a copy for performance in front of the class and be given rounds of feedback and redirection. Students are expected to have a webcam and basic microphone so performance can be directed by the instructor. This class will mostly be taught in a hybrid format where some students are online and some are in studio, online students will need to make sure they have a strong internet connection considering the technical nature of this class.
