Express Yourself Through Voice-over

Caroly Larson

Caroly Larson has been a voice performer for more than thirty years. After starting the first voice casting agency in Canada which she also ran for six years, Caroly began her career in directing, teaching and voice over. Her work ranges across countless commercials, playing everything from announcer, to mom, to sexy, to comedic, to character, to heartfelt, to friend next door, to casual conversational. She has appeared in many cartoons in leading, guest and dubbing roles. Notable experience in looping and dubbing includes Caroly having replaced Tilda Swinson’s voice for a few scenes, and Barbara Hershey’s voice for an entire film. She has narrated for documentary series (most recently “Fear Thy Neighbour”), educational videos, and was even the voice of the television station CTV at one point.

Commercial campaign credits include: Knorr, Rona, Swiss Chalet, Shoppers Drug Mart, Ontario Medical Association, Tourism Nova Scotia; and additional credits include: The House Hippo, McDonalds, Tim Hortons, Nutella, Coke, Chrysler, BMO, TD, Nestles, Toyota, Federal Government, Provincial Government, Teacher’s Association, Interac, and on and on.

In animation, Caroly has voiced for the following projects: “Miss Spider” (Lead), “Little People” (Lead; including 17 sing-along CDs), “Xmen” (Guest x2), “Bakugan” (Lead and Guest), “Tee and Mo” (Narrator), “Russian Tales” (Dubbing Lead), and more.

The anonymity of voice allows for countless versions of oneself to be explored as well as diving into the psychology of the message and musicality of the pacing and tone.
