Jacqueline Samuda

Jacqueline’s VO career spans 30 years in Canada and the US, with over 2000 projects: commercial, videogames, animation, corporate, documentary, promo, audiobook narration, voice replacement and more. She has been the voice of VanCity, Blue Cross, Stars Lottery, Telus, Captain Marvel, Boots No. 7, CNN, HGTV, HP, AAA, Finish, Special K, McDonald’s, Lysol, Mazola, Dupont, Future Shop, and many more.

Jacqueline’s career also includes acting, writing, directing and producing for stage and screen. Please see IMDB for Jacqueline’s extensive on-screen credits. An Honours Graduate of York University, she received the EM Award for Performance, then apprenticed at the Shaw Festival and received an Individual Artist Grant from the Ontario Government to research theatre in NYC. She has studied with renowned voice coaches David Smukler and Marice Tobias. Jacqueline has taught acting (Toronto’s High School for Performing Arts), screenwriting (UBC and Vancouver Film School), voiceover (VFS and OTM), and Directing Actors as guest artist (UCLA Film Program).

Awards include the Sharon Gibbon Lifetime Member Award from Women in Film, the MPPIA/WIDC Feature Film Award, a Los Angeles Dramalogue award for theatre direction, and a 2016 Leo Award for Best Guest Female on a TV Series.

Why Voice-over?

I never tire of being on the mic, in the studio. It’s fun, tricky, collaborative, and I can do it in my pyjamas.
