A graduate of the Music Theatre program at Sheridan College in Ontario, Rebecca Shoichet has been a working Vancouver voice actor since she moved her from her home town of Victoria in 2000.
From super heroes to super villains and ponies to spokespersons, Rebecca has voiced all kinds of characters in Animation and Commercial Voice Over. Commercial credits include BCAA, Shaw, London Drugs, Mazola, Mercedes, Recycle Everywhere, McDonalds, OK Tire, Vancity, and more. Some characters she has played in Animation are Sunset Shimmer and the singing voice for Twilight Sparkle in My
Little Pony and Equestria Girls, Jane in Tarzan and Jane, Apple Dumplin’ in Strawberry Shortcake, She-Hulk, Agent Abigail Brand, and even Captain Marvel!
She is also an accomplished studio session and live on-stage singer and has toured with the such Canadian music artists as Tom Cochrane and Amanda Marshall. She’s a member of several well-known Vancouver bands including Soulstream, Side One, and Mimosa, and has performed as a featured vocalist at countless special events including the Vancouver and Montreal International Jazz Festivals, and the 2010 Winter Olympic Games.
